Beit Nehemia

Beit Nehemia (, ''lit.'' House of Nehemiah) is a moshav in central Israel. Located near Shoham, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hevel Modi'in Regional Council. In 2006 it had a population of 730.
The village was established in 1950 on the land of the destroyed Arab villages of Beit Nabala by Jewish immigrants from Persia (Iran), and was named after Nehemia, a rich man which donated money for Beit Nehemia's foundation.
The moshav is called after the Biblical prophet Nehemiah, who left Persia for Israel - as the modern founders.
